A year ago, almost to the day, I adopted a cat to be a "mentor" for a kitten we had hand-raised. The volunteer who brought him to our house after we picked him out and were approved told us that he had some diarrhea and gave us medicine for him. This was a rescue with a good reputation, so I overcame my initial reservations about accepting him. and took him.

Although he appeared to be in good health, the diarrhea continued and after many tests, and different medications that did not work, we had blood taken and the results indicated very high titers for corona virus that was consistent with a diagnosis of FIP. By this time, I felt committed to this cat, and the vet prescribed antivirals and a course of interferon. However the numbers remained high, and chasing him around twice daily to squirt medicine down his throat made him very unhappy and skittish, we decided to stop treatment, and instead just give him high quality food, supplements like probiotics and canned pumpkin. We hoped that with time, his body would heal itself. If he came down with active symptoms of FIP, we would have him put down.

He continued to have a great appetite, glossy thick coat and was very active and playful. The profuse, very foul-smelling diarrhea continued unabated, along with constant flatulence. In order to manage this, I went back to the vet and had him put on prednisone. This did help some, and gradually I got him down to one half pill every other day. Fortunately, our other cat is in robust good health, despite his severe problems he had when we first rescued him.

I was concerned about the long-term effects of steroid though, plus his stools were still fairly loose at times, and the gassiness never went away. Sometimes, the runs came back with a vengeance, and I would increase the prednisone. Desperately, I was searching the internet and came upon your website. After doing research on different university and holistic vet websites on the ingredients, I ordered Enhance Digestive Aid for Cats.

Again, this is a cat who had not had a completely normal stool in almost a year. After one capsule, the diarrhea stopped and has not come back, and the flatulence is gone! He is now off of the prednisone, and I am now giving him (and the other cat) one capsule in their wet food every other day. I have never seen results so fast, and I am a very skeptical person. I raved about your product to Hope Safehouse, the rescue I foster for, and I believe they have ordered some. I will recommend this product and your website to everyone who has pets!!
