Meet "Pongo" [left] (an 8 year old female) and "Aladdin" [right](a 7 year old male), both rescue dalmatians owned by April Newton of Aberdeen, MD.

"Thanks to Aunt Jeni, Pongo and Aladdin both enjoy a natural, fresh-foods, home-prepared diet. Both our dals were diagnosed with Lyme disease earlier this year, despite being vaccinated against it. This diet has done wonders in restoring them to good health, as well as being a tremendous help in combatting allergy symptoms. No more endless scratching, licking, and biting at themselves. They are both much calmer and happier, healthier dogs. I don’t even mind the ‘trouble’ of preparing my own dog food; it is worth the effort to get this kind of result."

"The story of how Pongo came to us is unique. A close family friend's mother had recently passed away. The friend's grief-stricken sister prayed for a sign that her (very religious) mother was somehow now in a better place and free of pain and suffering. Following the memorial service, the sister returned to the mother's home. It was nighttime, and raining. There, on the front porch, was a perfect damatian puppy, the favorite dog breed of the deceased mother. The puppy was about ten weeks old, in perfect condition, and by all appearances is a purebred dalmatian. The sister was unable to locate any signs of the puppy's origins; she had mysteriously appeared, as if in answer to a prayer. The sister was not able to keep the puppy, so little Pongo came to live with me and my new husband, at Christmas time of the year we were married. She has been our "first child" and now has a dalmatian "brother" named Aladdin.
