This lovely lady is Gretchen, a one and a half year old female Doberman Pinscher who lives near Philadelphia, PA with Kristina Leonard. Gretchen is a shining example of what a change to a good, fresh-foods diet can accomplish. Here are some of Kristina's latest comments:

"NO MORE KIBBLE!!!Gretchen has made a 180 turn around!! I couldn't be happier-- Its amazing I never thought all of this BARF really would cause such a huge amount of change!!

"Her behavior has just been amazing-- we can have a bed in her crate now and she doesn't destroy it!! She's stopped chewing/ eating our furniture, carpet, shoes -- yes we can actually leave our shoes on the floor!! She has stopped rummaging thru the garbage can like a starved wolf!! She shows so much calmness when you look in her eyes. And she's listening better. We can't believe it -- no more pacing about the house -- the prey drive seems to have decreased a bit when it comes to our cats.

"Oh and her coat. Now she always had the most gorgeous coat since she was a puppy -- looks like an oil slick in the sun, but about 5 months ago the hair started to get really course. Now after the end of kibble she's got baby fur...its so soft...and it's even shineier than before!! I didn't think that was possible but it happened. She has also lost some weight. Now shes a slim and trim supermodel looking dobe at 82 pounds.
