betsy

Meet Betsy, who just celebrated her 9th birthday on New Year's Eve. Betsy is a female Gordon Setter, owned by Jennifer Melichar of Ellicott City, MD. See Betsy's resume, below.

"Hi! My name is Betsy. As you probably already know, I'm a very active girl even though I have retired. My mom says that because I'm very special to her, she wants me to have only the very best things to eat. That's why when KC & Tynee told me about the special treats their mom was making, I just had to have some. I just love Aunt Jeni's PUPPlements 'cause they're so tasty. Mom says they're good for me too but I don't care...I like them anyway."

Betsy's Resume:

Fieldstone Cotton Candy, CGC, TDI
5 years as a Pets on Wheels Therapy Dog, 5 years with Fidos for
Freedom working primarily with the disAbility Awareness Program in the
public schools demonstrating what a Therapy Dog does on a visit, how a
Hearing Assistance Dog helps their person and sometimes how a Mobility Dog
helps their person. Betsy is a veteran of many Public Information Booths
on behalf of Fidos for Freedom (an all volunteer organization based in
Maryland that provides Assistance Dogs for people with either physical
disabilities or hearing disabilities). Betsy retired from public life in
February 1998. In her spare time Betsy has always enjoyed working with
Happy Hounds 4-H Club and it's members. Betsy and Jennifer still enjoy
showing through 4-H at both the County and State Fairs.
