This is Barkley the
cat, of Catonsville, MD. Barkley was found at three weeks of age clinging to the trunk of
tree, hence his name Barkley, as in "bark" of a tree. He was born with feline
leukemia and also has a heart murmur. His concerned human (Laura) embarked on a quest to
build up his immune system and do whatever possible to prolong his life through nutrition,
vitamins and minerals. Initially, Barkley was fed a high-quality dry food from Wysong,
with the addition of Wysong canned food a few months later. After further research on the
benefits of a raw diet, Laura attempted to switch his diet to ground meats, veggies and
chicken wings. Barkley said, "No way!" Then she discovered Homemade 4 Life!
He loves it so much, the transition wasn’t much of a transition at all! Within
five days, Barkley was eating the H4L enthusiastically! His bowl is always empty,
something that never occurred with the other foods. His coat, which use to be oily and
flaky, is now soft, smooth and thick. His eyes and nose have stopped running and his
energy level has increased. He and his canine pals, Paddy and Chase, all enjoy and are
thriving on H4L. |
